Most RV parks have a coin laundry room and some type of public indoor
gathering area for RV park occupants to congregate. Usually, these
gathering areas include a big screen TV. Additionally, some RV parks
offer a game room complete with games, an exercise room, and a
library/reading room. Many RV parks even have a movie rental service.
Showers and bathrooms are also usually
available to occupants of the RV park. In my experience, most RV park
showers are kept neat and clean should you require the use of them.
Another increasingly popular service
that an RV park provides is wireless internet service. Sometimes RV
park wireless internet service is included with your monthly space
rent, but many times, it is not. It is almost universally true,
however, that RV park wireless internet service is very unreliable.
Finding an RV park in your college town
is easy. Simply go to Woodalls.com and search for an RV
park in the area in which you will be going to college. Woodalls.com
also lists the amenities offered at each individual RV park. Another
resource for looking at prospective RV parks is Google
Maps' Satellite view. Using the Google Maps satellite view,
you can get an aerial picture of the RV park to see the general size of
RV Park spaces, whether there are railroad tracks nearby, and the like.
Most RV parks will rent
RV spaces out at a monthly rate that is far cheaper than paying the
daily rate for a month. For example, my monthly RV park rate is $175
per month, or a little over $5 dollars a day. The daily rate at the RV
park at which I stay is $25 a day.
One of the questions that you are probably asking yourself right now is
"When I bring my RV to college, where do I stay?" Unless you have a
relative or
acquaintance willing to let you stay in
their driveway or backyard, you will most likely have to rent a monthly
space at an RV park.
